“Favorite Mistake” began with an emotional contradiction: knowing something may be wrong and still understanding exactly why it mattered.

Songwriting often starts privately—with a feeling, a title, or a line that refuses to leave. The work is learning what the song wants to become, then shaping that emotion so another artist can inhabit it honestly.

That journey led “Favorite Mistake” to Beatzone Boys and their worldwide debut release through Trans Continental Records. Amy Matthew is credited as writer and co-producer, helping carry the song from its original idea into a finished recording for a new group and audience.
